The best word to describe this burger is ‘balance’. The bun was flaky but soft. The beef patty was crisp on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. I was very impressed by how perfectly crispy the outside of the burger was. This was the type of burger where the juice drips out when you take the first bite. Very flavorful. Along with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and thousand island sauce this burger was the perfect mix of everything delicious.
The patty was grilled to a medium temperature (slight pink center), the toppings nicely portioned (the lettuce didn’t stick out over the edges too much – bonus), and the bun was really good. Sure, I agree that burgers are usually fast food, but I like to have a little ‘gourmet’ once in a while.
